2024 Net Zero Tech International Contest @Taiwan

In response to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the TECO Science and Education Foundation, in collaboration with National Taiwan University, is co-hosting the “2024 Net Zero Emissions Technology International Competition @Taiwan.” The internationally renowned Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) also co-organized the competition to maximize global impact.

The competition was chaired by President Wen-Chang Chen of National Taiwan University, and the theme was Net Zero Emissions Technology (Net Zero Tech). It features a dual competition format with the “Main Competition” and “National Competition” running concurrently. Teams comprising outstanding university students and faculty (including graduate students) from Taiwan and worldwide are invited to participate. The champion prize for both competitions is NT$1 million, with 40 awards and a prize pool of NT$6.5 million sponsored entirely by domestic enterprises.

Teams with complete registration information will undergo preliminary and final reviews starting July 1. Twenty teams will advance to the final round, and the final competition and award ceremony are scheduled for August 21, 2024 (Wed.) at the National Taiwan University Sports Center.
